Anu and Anil, two of Nrolled’s founders, found themselves under that bridge, gazing at the monument above. Anu, ever curious, asked Anil about the imposing barrier that ran along the edge. Anil’s response was both chilling and enlightening: the barrier was there to prevent suicide attempts.

As immigrants in Canada, Anu and Anil knew firsthand the struggles faced by newcomers. Financial hardships, cultural adjustments, and the weight of being far from home weighed heavily on their shoulders. Yet, beneath that bridge, they saw more than just a barrier—they saw an opportunity.
